When I arrived at my mom's a few days before Christmas, she stuck her finger in Holdie's mouth to discover... a tooth! I would never have known, because really it was nothing but a rough patch on his bottom gum! Being that my mom is a dental hygienist as well as an experienced mother, I didn't question her! And now, three days after the holiday, I can see it sticking up plain as day! Very exciting.
He is now getting closer to 6 months (January 8). He still hates doing tummy time, won't roll and loves being held. In fact, he would prefer to be toted around all day if he could! It's a bit worrisome for me, but I know all babies go at their own pace. I'm just continuing to help him sit up with support and hoping that he'll begin to tolerate being more independent soon!
Anyway, Holden had a spectacular first Christmas, both with the Thomsons and the Sroufes! He got a lot of great gifts from both sides! I would love to name them all, but I simply don't have the time right now. Next year, he will be able to appreciate the gifts much more! We are so blessed to have such giving, caring, and loving parents that spoil the daylights out of our baby boy. He is very loved by his entire family!
Here is a slideshow of baby's very first Christmas!
